Yeaaaaaa... i finally after 4days of planning & deciding, i got my tickets booked last minute yesterday, there were limited seats on the bus so had to leave from Menara Axis & return to OU with Aeroline...While finding for my show tickets, i was gonna book the VIP seats that cost SD155 as i was gonna go ALONE, then Chow was online & she was soooooooo sweeeeeeet to accompany me!! so we went for the SD115 seats at BOX G,(it took us 1hr plus to decide where to seat haha)
It was worth the 5hr journey bus ride, aunt vim & unc staffan picked me from Harbourfront, went back chill bit, then Chow came to Balmoral plaza & we headed off to Esplanade Theater...we had to be there by 7pm to collect the tickets, got the tickets & went outside -very nice place lots of al fresco dining place , but sadly our weather doesnt permit us to enjoy such environment, so we ended up under some umbrella nearby lots of stalls, just in time for me to break my fast...
The show started on time & i felt our seats were reallly nice, i could see all the skaters expression & formation as we were up almost near the stage... The show was really moving... Swan Lake & the Prince Siegfriend fren Benno & ROthbart all played their roles well... It is no where close to disney on ice,it's more matured viewing... at certain parts it did get me emotionally incline to it... for those that do not know the story bout swan lake i'll try summarize it up for you....
Prince Siegfried is turning 21 & his mother wants him to get married & inherit the kingdom, so he see's Odette skate & falls for her & tells her she has to come to the ball so he can proclaim his undying love for her & break her from her spell & let her be human again... however, Count rothbart (evil mentor to the prince) has other plans as he wants his daugther Odile to marry the prince instead...so she comes before Odette arrives & charms the Prince, he then gives up waiting for Odette & gives the ring to Odile... ODette see's this & is heartbroken....
The prince than goes out to seek forgiveness from Odette, Odile then found out bout her father's nasty plans & reunites the Prince with Odette his love... & they lie happily ever after......http://www.imperialicestars.com/productions/sloi/movies.shtm ( you can catch a glimpse of the show)
The costume, props, skating, choreography were all AMAZING & breath taking... i wish i was part of it but they are all RUSSIANS =p they train 9HOUrs a day 6 times a WEEK for 8 WEEKS!!! ahhhhhh it was really worth it, i bought the soundtrack CD, key ring, t-shirt, Sleeping beauty on ice theater show CD- which is also good, souvenier book... i really had an unforgetable experience thanks CHOW really appreciate all your help!!!!

I went to see the show as well. It is beautifully moving.
SO diff from other ice shows, this one with a story and story comes out movingly.
It is a star studded cast with prince, Odette, Odile, Rothbart and Benno so wonderfully in their character, But amongst them all I love Benno's performer (I think he is Andrei Penkine) the most. He has a charming charisma which even when he is not dancing, you want to look at him.
I found their company website when the artistic director is regularly posting.

which country did u watch urs?? im soo glad although it was last minute i managed to watch it... apparently from what i have observed i think for the show in Singapore the lead for the Prince & i think Rothbart as well are different skaters compared to the one in the souvenier book
You obviously saw the differnt cast Princessa_iceayu...
I saw the show in Japan with everyone on the advertising leaflet. Loved it and went back with friends to see it again and saw the other cast...it was still good but the star power has gone completely.
Strange may it be, amongst all the main characters, I love Andrei Penkine's Benno (not the B-cast one, no way!!). he was very charismatic and charming.
